QUALITY CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO UNI ISO 14067
What is ISO 14067 - "Greenhouse gases - Carbon footprint of products - Requirements and guidelines for quantification" ?
ISO 14067 sets out the principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and declaration of the carbon footprint (Carbon Footprint), understood as environmental impact, in accordance with international standards for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
The results show, in general, the effectiveness of the carbon footprint, both as a tool for controlling and reducing emissions and as a way of communicating the company's sensitivity to sustainability issues.
The organisation can therefore demonstrate its commitment to reducing the impact of its daily activities on the environment through carbon footprint analysis, respecting the ISO 14067 development standard.
What is meant by Carbon Footprint
The Carbon Footprint represents the quantity, expressed in CO2 equivalent, of greenhouse gas emissions generated over the life cycle of a product or service.
It is possible to calculate an organisation's Carbon Footprint by creating a "Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory" referring to the annual business year, or it can also be calculated with reference to a specific product or service, consequently taking the appellation of Product Carbon Footprint (CFP).
Who is interested in these certifications?
ISO 14067 offers a standardised way for all types of companies to calculate the climate footprint of their products and at the same time understand how to reduce it.
It therefore applies to all companies that want to demonstrate their commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
